Another new UK member

Thanks all, I'm slowly learning about it - so much new to learn! I have another much more recent American car which I maintain and my first lesson in this car is that most of my spanners (wrenches) don't fit... The other lesson is that its been around for 50 years and so while its a great car because parts are available that doesn't mean that your car will have standard stuff on it! As expected my jobs to do list has changed, priorities now are (not urgent) but replace all fluids, tune it (starts hard, runs rich and runs on), tighten up the steering (as in there is play in it) and replace or recore the radiator, which is huge - 27" across the top!
Hi Ginja - Don't know if this helps but had a similar problem with tools. My sons got me a set of Imperial sockets and an 11 piece combination spanner set for Father's day. About £15 each from from Machine Mart. Spanner set was retrieved from way back in the stockroom so they may need to order from another store. Limey
