Is there a front or rear to them, or does it matter? They are shaped differently on each end.

It became obvious once I took a second and really looked at them. One end, the front end, is longer to go through the K frame. The next question is which way do the rubber bushings face, and the steel cups? In looking at the bushings it seems the ridge on the wide end matches the hole in the k frame exactly, so put that way on both sides of the frame face with the steel cups facing towards the bushings is what looks right to me. Anyone know what is correct? And my rods don't have a hole in them.

Steel cups should face away from the bushing. Not all strut rods came with the roll pin hole.....my dads 70’ RT Challenger didn’t but my uncles 70’ RoadRunner did, go figure!

Okay, thanks, now I have to take it all apart...again....lol.

Lower control arm has to come out.

How bad is it to remove and reinstall one of the strut rods?
Depends on how far apart the rest of the assembly is. For me I just have to take loose the pivot shaft lock nut, the rear end lock nut on the strut, and front lock nut on the strut. Slide it all to the rear and move the cups to face the other way. If your front end is under load, as in all together with torsion bars, shocks etc...then you are looking at a different job...use your FSM.

torsion bar must come out, LCA off, and shock detached on the bottom end. Spindle out of the UCA....Then it's just nuts on either end of the strut rod.

Well ****, ya got get all technical, lol!
