OK, As im slowly moving on my 67 GTX restoration its time for the hub caps, they are in fantastic shape just needing a polish and some paint in the center of the cap.. Heres my question..... ive done some polishing of my stainless trim with great results but would rather send these out to a pro, can someone recommend a vendor that can handle this job for me and what do i tell them about the degree of shine is correct, what i mean by that is , should they be a little shiny or buffed to a mirror finish or somewhere in between. oh and what can i expect to pay for this buffing service ? any help will be appreciated.. thanks Rich

Can you post a couple pics, you can probably do it yourself if they’re not real bad.

thanks for the response, i do not have any pictures, like i said they are in great shape but would rather have a pro handle these... just not sure about the amount of shine thats correct for these. i am assuming that the person doing the buffing can control the end result, as in amount of shine. am i correct?

Have you tried this stuff. It works great.

You can use different compounds to get the “sheen” your after.

All I can say is that my rear bumper was badly discolored with a somewhat of a blueish tint, especially above the pipes. Nothing seemed to clean it up and I though I was in for a re-chrome job if I wanted it to look good, but Never-Dull restored it to like new. Based on the OP's description of his hub caps, I would definitely give this stuff a try before sending them out for a high priced job.

Never dull and white diamond are my go to polish. White diamond took my old oxidized wheels and made them look new again.

First pic is before second is after a quick hand polish with the white diamond polish

hey guys, thanks for all your suggestions, much appreciated. 5.7 thats part of my problem, i dont know what ''sheen'' is correct for OEM. ive used never dull before and it is a good product. i'd still rather send them out, i did notice a scuff on one of them , i dont want to ruin my original caps.
