The original front wheel cylinders on my 66 Charger have what appears to be line extensions connecting the brake hoses to the cylinders. The replacements I have don't the have extensions. Are they easily swapped over to the new cylinders? It also appears the backing plate must be unbolted to gain access to the wheel cylinder bolts. Anyone have experience or suggestions with this? Your help will be appreciated.

I'm not sure about your brake hose setup but with the wheel cylinder bolts, have all of your brake hardware removed, remove brake line, remove the easy bolt to get to, then as you loosen the hard to get to bolt, let the wheel cylinder come through the backing plate.

Hi There, just working on my 66 Coronet brakes yesterday, looks like the front passenger side cylinder rearward bolt is inaccessible, so yes you (and I) will probably have to take the backing plate off. I did the hose, no problem, 5 min, bought the raybestos lines from Wrench Monkey online.
I was able to change the driver side wheel cylinder last year no problem, the bolts are accessible. Good luck.
