So the last couple of years when I registered my car for the Carlisle Chrysler nationals, I was disappointed to see that there was a listing for FABO, but none for FBBO. So I sent a note to Carlisle to let them know that FBBO existed. The good news is that FBBO has now been added as a car club when registering a car.

Then I get an email on the 10th (in a junk email account I do not regularly check). The text is below.
You had submitted your club to be an officially recognized club with us. Are you interested in trying to get a club tent for this year? If you are, I would need you to complete and return the attached Club Tent Form with payment BY WEDNESDAY, June 13. I have attached the Club Tent Form in both Word and PDF formats for you. Feel free to use whichever you prefer.
Thanks - not exactly a lot of time to respond, is it????
Anyway, if 25 or more cars are registered, the club gets a tent for free. If fewer than 25 cars get registered it costs $175.

Officially it is too late now, but I can't help but wonder if we have 25 cars going to Carlisle. If we do, I might try to call and push them to set up a tent - nothing ventured, nothing gained...

If you registered a car at Carlisle, let me know via the poll...

What you will find is FBBO members will have vehicles scattered around the grounds, B bodies come in many different makes and models. The tent is a good thing (with a FBBO members) banner as a home base for FBBO members to find each other, hang out and get out of the sun. Unlike some other clubs which are the same make, model and year, their tent is located in amongst that group of 25+ vehicles. You are doing a good thing because FBBO should have 25 vehicles easy, if that particular vehicle is not registered in another club.
And I doubt if Carlisle will go back in preregistered cars to find who would have been FBBO club members, so I believe they would start with as of now registered FBBO club members. With that said, you hsorman have FBBO set up for the year 2019 to maybe get a free tent. If not then someone's got to pony up then put a donation can chained to a tent poll (because it might rain like one of the days did last year, 2017 and wash away) at the FBBO tent to collect that person's tent $$ back.

I applaud you for putting in an effort, hope it pans out even if it isn't until next year. I made it one year but it's just to far of a drive for me to do again. I've tried to do the same hear at the Nats but people just don't seam interested so I gave up... maybe it's me lol. Best wishes

I'll be there.
This is the first year that my car is actually "on the road", not enough road time for me to do a 6hr drive though. It really would be great to have a place to meet up for a face to face.

Looks like none so far. Plus, in theory it is too late anyway.

Having said that, I agree that next year is the best chance to organize it - especially now that FBBO is recognized as a club at Carlisle. Hell, I'll even spring for the tent if folks are interested in meeting up - but again, it will need to be next year I guess.

FBBO mods: let me know if this is a problem - I hope and assume that doing some positive advertising for the group is not a bad thing - but just checking!

Hawk,

Waaaaaay back before the beginning of time, Ken tried to organize this very thing and had only received 5 yes's and 5 maybes before the clock ran out.

If next year you want to give it another go ( a good idea IMHO) I would start soliciting early and get a mod to make it a sticky. 25 cars sounds like it should be an easy number to hit, but experience shows that may not be the case.

I'd recommend checking first to see how many members are actually going to be there, then inquire about a tent.

We should consider FBBO "T" shirts, I heard that there was one years ago. Bet there will be a lot of us there, just need a way to recognize each other

Hawk,
I won't be there this year. Maybe I'll be able to next year. It's about an 11 hour drive for me.

Starting on Black Friday Carlisle production offers a Discount if you Pre-Register, It lasts about a month I believe. That could be a good starting point for Reminders.

When I registered for the show online it asked what club I'm affiliated with in a drop-down menu and FBBO was an option. So as long as everyone selected FBBO as their club, Carlisle should be able to tell how many of us are coming. I'm showing mine in the Young Guns class since this is the last year I'll be eligible to participate.

YellowDodge67, when did you register for Carlisle?

I had also put down FBBO as Club affiliation, as it was listed in the options, around 6/14...

Boys and I are going , I didn't get the option to pick the club .
Would anyone be interested in a list to see who's going , what car if your bringing one and where your staying ?
Not to much personal info just a meet and great list ?

Looks like ''Wagons and Young Guns'' are just east of the stage.
