Well it’s time.
I bought this car 8 years ago and it has become increasingly apparent that l’m not going to be the one to see it through. I have done almost nothing to it but remove it from its rotisserie, install the Dana and the front chassis dolly so it could be moved and I’ve gathered a couple of parts that it needed.
Here’s a link to the auction.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1968-Dodge-Coronet-R-T-/163108340213

It’s a 440, 4 speed, Dana 60 car with numbers matching drivetrain.
It’s an original black car with white rump stripe and white bucket seat non-console interior.
See the auction for more details.

Seems kind of silly for an auction but ok, I’ll take 50K for it at this point or we can just let the auction play out. Please know that my reserve, which is a secret, is much lower...

On eBay you said there was metal work not up to par. Would you please elaborate a bit. A picture of the issue would be good to please.

They wanted a price so I gave them one. Sending pm.

Since you want to play stupid games here, and are not prepared to play by the rules, I am opening this up in the General Forum for Discussion about the Auction to take place....have at it boys.

Play by the rules, or suffer the consequences. If you want to be a wiseguy, I can play that game as well.

This is a copy and paste from a conversation I had with Joey this morning.

Me....
Your rules for posting an ad that includes an eBay auction link clearly say that it’s ok as long as other info about the item is included, so that’s what I did but on the very next rule it states you have to have a price posted. Wtf is up with that? It’s an auction with a secret reserve and no buy it now price. If the ad has to come down so be it. I’m just curious why the contradicting rules? Everybody on here knows what an auction is.

Thanks

Matt

Joey...
the rule doesn't apply to an ebay auction

Matt.......If you can PM someone a price why can't post a price?

I wasn’t planning on giving him a price in the private message, I was just going to talk to him about the car.
If I knew exactly what it was worth I might have put an asking price on it but I don’t so I figured an auction would answer that question.

Not sold, not surprised. I will probably bolt the car together to make it easier to transport and have another go at it, maybe take care of an issue or 2 myself first if I can make some time. To be continued...
