i have a fiberglass hood just looking for lightweight springs and cant find them. Part number?

I know someone makes them, I have them on my 69 GTX. But I'm afraid I don't know where they came from. Maybe call some of the hood vendors and they could tell you.

I just bought some off him last week. His name is Dennis, real nice guy and fast. Email him at [email protected]

From the FABO

I used hardware store springs on my 66.....it's trial and error if you do not have chart or something that tells you how light of a spring you have for the weight of the hood. I got lucky and got the right springs on the 2nd try. A lot depends on the weight of your hood.

VFN Fiberglass http://www.vfnfiberglass.com/mountinginstructions.htm

Brass Hood Springs . For longer and Heavier hoods (Such as 70' 442, 70-72 Monte Carlo, and 71-74 Charger power bulge.)

Do like this guy, go to Home Depot/Lowes and get springs, you will be VERY HAPPY.
They are actually better. You can put the exact ones you want, not the ones they TELL YOU will work.
