My brother passed away in March and it has fallen to me to sell a couple of his old Mopars. One is a 69 Charger RT that he used on the drag strip. That other is a 72? Plymouth Satellite Sebring 383 2 barrel. Both these cars were running when he backed them into the shed in the early 80's. Both have minimal rust but the Charger has damage to the drivers door and rear quarter panel that occurred during storage. The interiors are in good shape. How would you go about selling them? What is a ballpark number on value? One of my brother's buddies offered $2500 on the Satellite but I feel it is worth twice that. Need to get as much as possible to pay for his medical bills. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!!!! I couldn't figure out how to get the pictures to upload so you will have the download them to look, sorry.

Look in a copy of Old Car price guide. They give values from a basket case to pristine condition. This may help you in determining
the value of those 2 cars.

Do they have titles? The 68-70 Chargers bring alot of money. The Charger can bring anywhere from to 10k on up depending on its condition. The Satellite not isn't worth now where near what the Charger is worth. We really need pics and more info to give you a better idea of value.

You say 72 with a ? These cars have a value as well. 71 will draw even more crowd. They are nice cars, especially big block and are commonly converted to road runners. $2500 does sound cheap. Charger.....ya......dollars. Regardless. Get some pics up so a better judgment call can be made.

Let me see if I can help.........

the online version of
'old cars price guide" is "collectorcarmarket.com"

I don't see any satellite pics.

I paid 4K for my 73 318 AC car with 54000 miles running and driving with about 1/2 cup of bondo total in the body. I think I got a good deal.

72 is slightly more and BB albeit 2BBL is also slightly more, so if the body is nearly perfect and it runs and drives, you're probably right about a bit more than 5K.

If it has odd or desirable options or colors, that adds too.

...but if it's green with a bench seat.....

and 72 would be a 400-2 not a 383 from the factory.

Get them out and clean them up. You have 2 good candidates there.

Looks to be a 71 and a 6 pack...............

I think the 6 pack air cleaner is something he added. Only has the 2 speed wiper motor.

Could be a 6 pack, never looked, good catch. But wasn't a factory 6 pack.

Definitely a Six Pack in the Charger. The Satellite is a '71.
Easily 10-15k to start with the Charger. It'll climb from there if all panels and floorpans are rust free. It certainly appears to be a solid car from the images.
The Satellite would be around 5-7k. Again, I'm guessing completely solid car.

Get them out and clean them up. Post them for sale on here first!

Just spitballin, but that Charger would disappear quickly if you listed it for $25k.

The Satellite with BB looks to be in nice, restorable shape and complete. I'm not familiar with 71 and up B bodies but that looks like a $10k + car to me.

If the six pack carbs and intake are originals........I would remove the intake, carbs and air cleaner. Then sell separately......key on the carbs are the dates...

As is. Buyer pulls them out of the barn. $5-6k on the Satellite. And the Charger I wouldn't take any less than 18k. But if you can pull them both out and wash them up. Then atleast get them where they can start you will get more out of them.
