Gas shooting out of my filler tube

Is the problem solved ?

The problem was solved, until this past week.

Even with the heat wave we got, the garage never smelled of fuel, and fuel never shot out.
But for some reason, this past week the issue came back again.

So I blew out of the vent line again (didn't see anything come out again).

All I can do is watch it.

I went under to verify that no lines seem bent or collapsed (metal and rubber), and everything looks fine.

My 67 builds some tank pressure when the weather is hot. Its a repop tank, the only vent is the one that runs to the fill tube, also has a vented cap.
The old original tank was set up the same way.
Ive never had a huge pressure build up or moved fuel up the fill tube when the cap is opened. but always have had a gas smell at the fuel door when its hot weather.
I have always figured it was the cap vent causing the smell.
I thought they vented both directions? if working correct.

If not mabey my cap vent is stuck half open ?

just a link with helpful info

i had pressure build in my 66 fuel tank. i ended up tanking out filler neck, cutting off steel vent tube portion of filler neck, and welding vent tube hole shut. then i added a rollover vent valve at end of rubber vent line from tank; mounted set up along side filler neck in area just behind gas door. took half a saturday but has been good so far. i am runnin an Atomic EFI with fuel return line back to tank so things a little modified on my setup.
