They list it as new but new to History Channel? Hope its not a rerun from some other channel.
Looks like it's new. The show on right before it, is that 'cars that made america' mini-series that came out last year. The picture in my info guide shows the front end of a challenger so I'll check it out..

Shows like that are repeats that get listed as new because they are shown on a different day than originally shown.
My viewing guide shows the dates that programs originally aired regardless of what channel..when I looked up this show on-line it's listed as a "premiere July 9th"

They could of done a better job recognizing Chrysler. Basically a GTO, Mustang, Camaro show with just honorable mention to Mother Mopar.

I'm only about 1/4 through it so far, but a lot of great respect to Chrysler. They even talk about the Ramchargers and the High and Mighty.

It was better than expected but heavy on gm/gto. No mention of Max Wedge but like they talked about High And Mighty. Didn't cover Woodward Ave. enough. Was worth watching MO.

for whatever reason , those shows seem to only focus on what they believe the majority of people are interested in , which is the gm crap , the mustang , and Chevy. I'm surprised they dont just spend 10 minutes on the 69 charger and be done with Chrysler all together.

I'm hoping this show has a friends 39 Ford in it. Blown Hemi in it. I don't remember what channel it was , either history or Discovery game down and did a story on him and the car before he died.
The guy never had a real job his whole life...he invented Tum's or Pepto ( I forget which) and spent the rest of his years inventing things.
This 39 was a fine ride and the best of everything...he wanted faster and decide to put a military turbo jet with full afterburner from a helicopter in it w/ the Hemi, that thing would throw a flame about 25'...wanted 300mph never got the chance to make a full run in it...

At least they talked the old drag days, some nascar & hemi, the roadrunner, Petty etc..I wasn't expecting too much of a detailed history. Funny, when they were talking Superbirds did you notice the '70 coronet with the wing on it? (they showed it a couple of times)--I bet the wing car folks were kicking their TVs

I noticed that but they also mentioned that dealers where going as far as stripping the noses off the wing cars and installing grilles from dealer parts stock to get them off the lot. even though the Coronet was never a wing car that is probably the only b roll they had of a b-body with a wing but not a nose.
It wasn't too bad. They had some things a little off in their details and their images didn't always match what they were saying (like talking about GM cars and showing Plymouths rolling down a Chrysler assembly line). Overall I'd give them a B for accuracy when it came to their Mopar stuff.
