I will be driving the wagon there tomorrow. It is just under 300 miles each way for me.

rarefish, You've got a great looking wagon ! We were parked out back of the Day's Inn next to you a few times after the show. Sorry, I had no idea at the time, or I would have said Hello. You were probably sitting around Tim H's trailer, and his Great '63 wagon...

Friday night I was sitting in the back with Tim H. and his group. Saturday night I was parked out front. I had a lot of people asking me about the wagon and a few trying to work me for a selling price on it.

I drove out Thursday and the only old car I saw on the road was a Studebaker Golden Hawk.

But otherwise, the 'ol '57 ran just fine.

I leave tomorrow at Noon for the big show! I'll be cruising my 1968 Road Runner. Over the past year, I've done lots of work to her in preparation to both - increase reliability and driveability.
My good buddy will be driving his 1964 Dodge with AC, lucky bastard.
I gotta admit, although it's only 180 for me one way from Pittsburgh, I'm a little nervous, but excited at the same time.
Even though you don't have a/c you are lucky to go. Have a good drive and have fun! Lucky!

I drove my 69 GTX out on Saturday (170 miles) from NJ. Left at 5am. I rebuilt the rear and replaced the driveshaft for the trip out. The car ran like a top. The ride home was not as much fun. The heavy rain made it a miserable ride. Especially since my wipers did not work. Thank god for Rain-X

I own a rollback flatbed with kickass A/C,,,,,and I'm OLD!!The ride from Long Island sucks,1.5 hours just to get through NYC.................
And I race at South Mountain so if I hurt something,I can get my own *** home without help!

so Harry .......how did the trip go?

It was terrific! Tons of very nice Mopars there, as always.
My car ran really well and here are some observations:
* Engine temps on the highway avg. around 180
* Engine temps sitting in city traffic waiting to get into show ranged 192 - 196.
Running my newly re-cored Glen ray radiator and 180 stat, I am pleased.
* she burns/uses some oil - about 24 Oz per fill up. Although this is the original engine with 102k miles.
* SO glad I went back to 3.23s. The 3.91s would have made the drive MUCH less enjoyable!
