Hey guys I know there's a few NSS guys here running this intake on big inch wedges and Hemis at the track.

Car is a street/strip, 11:1, 572 Hemi, in a 3500lb A body with around 800HP/770TQ, 727, 5K stall and 4.10 Dana.I have dual widebands for tuning in the car, one in each collector.

I have this intake and will be installing it soon. I have set it up with with dual Eddy 800AVS carbs, dialled in stock jetting and rods - I've been through them and set float level to 7/16" to begin with, set float drop etc, pump plunger is around .500" from carb top and pump lever is set in the hole closest to carb body. Air doors set at 1.5 turns to start with and looking to run around 5-5.5 psi at the carbs. I have added a Wilson sneeze valve between the carbs.

If anyone is running this kinda setup on a dual purpose car, I'd love to know your jetting / rod combos and and any tips you might have. Doug I know your running this setup on your NSS wedge with dual 750 Eddys, just wondering if anyone is driving on the street and their setups?

Thanks fellas....

Raise the floats to 7/32". The primary jetting on mine is factory Eddy, so it doesnt load up. It'll idle at 1000 with a [email protected] cam. Drivabillty around the pits is great.

Thanks Doug; Ive read that you run the floats at 7/32" - Ill adjust the floats. Current jetting is PRI .110 and sec .101. Rods are stock.

I run 113P/110S, .047 rods
Doug

Yep thanks Doug, I take it raising the floats will bring in the main circuit sooner and possibly eliminate any bog ? Running the same ,047 stock rods too. Engines has about 10--11" vac at hot idle in gear.

I think I'll start with the jetting/rods/orange springs I have right now and work it from there and see where I'm at AFR wise. I'm running a full exhaust to the bumper, 2 1/4" TTIs x 3.5" collectors, through an 3.5" X pipe then into 3" over the rear end and into 2 large 3" in/out Magnaflows just behind the rear bumper. So I imagine a full exhaust might want a little less fuel on the street for clean idle/cruise AFRs.

Ignition timing is locked out at 32 degrees and I'm running pump 98 gas we have here. What do you think ?

On another note - seeing as silicone wont seal the intake lid, I was looking to seal it with Permatex anaerobic sealer which on paper, should do the job well yet allow the lid to be removed if needed. Anyone used this stuff on their intake and how well did it work ?

Mine has always been sealed with Ultra Grey. I did try a gasket, the bolts never stayed tight. I would think anaerobic would work fine. I made a 1/16"x 1/2" slot between the upper and lower near the front (seal with RTV). That gives you a spot to stick a screwdriver into to pry the halves apart. With Ultra Grey It was hell getting the upper off. I don't pay any attention to the rods upper diameter. However in your application it will affect it at part throttle.

Good idea. There was an old joke floating around that I heard when I got mine, " There two kinds of guys that run that intake. The ones that have blown the tops off of them and the ones that are going to blow the tops off of them."

Yes so Ive read, Ive also read what the best starting procedure is with this intake lol....but added the valve to be safe ;)

I haven't run this newer bath tub intake but have my old school magesium cross ram Hemi intake that I used to run on one of my Hemi's that never had any issues with like you always hear about with the cross rams. This was on an old set up that went 10.17's back in the day.
