back in 1994 I was strolling through a salvage yard in Hamilton Ontario and saw in the distance what appeared to be a Mopar big block laying upside down in a mud puddle in the middle of a lane way. Upon closer inspection it became evident that I was standing over a 1970 440 that was stock appearing and complete minus the intake assembly.

I proceeded to the office and inquired about the mystery motor. I was told that it was sitting in the back of a pickup that was dragged in for scrap and that someone had seen the “cool” intake assembly and bought it for $50. I ended up buying the motor and while I was getting it loaded up was told by by one of the yard workers that there was a box of parts that belonged to the motor. That box contained an oval 6 Pack air breather assembly. I guess that cool intake assembly that they sold for $50 was a 6 Pack setup. Anyhow, I still have that motor and air breather minus the crank which had a badly spun rod bearing and the 906 heads which I used on another motor. It has a 5-20-69 casting date, 8-11 (1970) assembly date and the serial number looks like “116056” . If this motor belongs to your car, let me know.

0G116056 that could be a 70 charger moter out of Saint Luse. I don't know of any other car that could have came out of that plant. But if you ever plan on getting rid of that block I would like to get it. I have a 70 charger missing it block and that would a good fit.

It could also be a 1970 Plymouth GTX.

If I can’t find the the car this motor came out of, I’m going to use it for a stroker build for my 70 GTX. I have my original numbers matching motor for my car but don’t want to go crazy with it and ruin it.

Interestingly... I have a 1970 440 that’s missing it’s 1970 Charger. Let me know if you want to get rid of the Charger

Sorry if afend you or something. All was saying was if was going to get rid of it at some time if you could find the car it belong to. It's hard to find a hp block from the 70's let a lone one that hasn't been take apart on the lower end. I been lookin for the one out of my car for the last 7 yrs with no luck. But I hope you find the car it belongs to.

You have a good day.

Not at all offended. Didn’t mean for it to seem that way. Like I said, I’m going to hold out a little in case I can reunite this motor with it’s car. If that doesn’t happen, maybe we can work something out. A less desirable 440 block will also work for a stroker build as far as I’m concerned. Where are you located?

I am located in Brazil, IN. I have a friend up there named Fred. Get a hold of me by pm and we can work something out if the person don't step up for the moter.
