Boycotted the bigguts years ago like in they will not get any further business from me.
 
Years ago, the Wife and I went to a Denny's in South lake Tahoe. A group of young guys were in the next booth over. One of them did not order anything because he said he only brought enough to get a lift ticket at the ski lodge. I told the kid that I'd give him $10 if he would drink the bottle of Tabasco on his table. He did, I paid. A few minutes later he left the table for awhile. Apparently he barfed it out because he came back saying..."I got some of it up my nose..."
Ahhh....GOOD times.
 
That would be the only Super Bird I could afford.

Never go to Denny’s - don’t need to when we have Norms here in LA.
 
That’s why I posted it, only one I’ll ever be able to afford!
 
The local 5 guys burgers and fries made a milk shake just for our Mopar club we hold our cruse in there every month. It's called the hemi! It's chocolate I believe orio of some sort and sonetsome else it's a heavy one but it taste good .
 
if you haven't tried a Denny's burger they're great

for decades, I only ate breakfast there

They have Dennys in most Flying J truck stops, and I have to agree with YY1, their burgers are great. Hand made pattys and cooked fresh. :thumbsup:
 
They are in those truck stops until the contract expires. Then they either renew or get someone else.
Ya gotta be careful when going to Denny's. If its not a corporately owned house they may not participate in the promotional items. I stopped in one in Emporia, VA about ten years ago and ordered without looking at the menu. IIRC I ordered the Grand Slam with coffee. Got the bill and it was $10! When I axed why they said they were a franchisee and didnt participate.
That must explain why there were only about 4 customers.

The good news is that the Dennys in Emporia, Va is now a Shoneys. The company that I am leased on to has a terminal in Emporia.
 
Shoneys is a shadow of its former self. There arent any here any more but I go to them in Knoxville when I visit. Every time it isnt as good as the last. My buddys wife wont go there.
Its a shame, they used to be quite good.
The one in Sevierville, TN was good when I was there 2 years ago.

They lost a court case for not surving minorities. Was there last early one morning with a friend. We ordered people came and left. We decided to wait and see how long it would take to get served, getup and walkout when it came. It took 3 hrs.
A week later Demnys lost their discrimination case.
They will never get my business again.

that's got to be an isolated case or store...

be careful with subway as well, we have a few of those that don't "participate"

yep, shoney's was the bomb back in the 90's

ours closed and now the nearest one is 45 min away.
made a special trip a couple of years ago and wasn't nearly as good or as clean
