Has anyone installed a transmission temperature gauge? I am thinking about installing one just to know how warm it is running. I have had no problems but would like to know.

If you have a temp gauge what kind, do you like it, how was the install, where did you mount the gauge, and do you have any pictures?

Thanks!

Why? You will just drive youself crazy like everyone that puts in a water temp gauge or worse yet a A/F ratio gauge Lol.

My Satellite has one. 1st one I ever used in my years of drag racing. On the street it does give you a warning if too much slow cruising gets the temp up above 210-220 or so. I have an Autometer Sport Comp electric sensor version. Drilled the new alum pan in the front for the sensor & the ground wire. Earlier this year the ground connection broke giving false very high readings, til I repaired the connection. This gauge is not a mandatory thing, but one more bit of info. If not a high stall converter & is a mostly street application, probably not a worry. It tells you if you need a better trans cooler.

I have one in my truck. 2001 Ram/Cummins. It's in the return line.
