Looking for Isolator bushings for 73

Just wanted to update everyone that rubber isolators are once again available. I have nothing to do with the person who is making them, have heard no reviews either positive or negative, and they are being sold through ebay (fmmpar). Just an FYI for us forgotten 73+ people.

For anyone looking to purchase the kit and not wanting to go through E-Bay, just drop me a message. I can also bring them to the Mopar Nats in August. These kits are made here in the US and feature the correct hardness rubber bushing and not the polyurethane that gives a more harsh ride and squeaks as the body moves. If any more questions, just drop me a message.

300 bucks PLUS shipping, bahaha right...
the summit kit works great for a fraction of the cost

These kits were manufactured to duplicate the originals. The demand for this product was driven by the purist who did not like the fact that the aftermarket kit visually stood out and the noise and harshness that the polyurethane made. Granted, either kit will work, it is just a matter of the owner's preference.

strange that they don't look like my originals being that they are boxed allowing movement where the bolt is housed when mounted to the frame rails.
however, they appear pretty well constructed.

I am using poly bushings on my 73, they don't make noise and there is not really any added harshness, I have no issues with them.

AAAND this is why Mopar repro parts just hold being produced for some time untill falls out. Not out of interest, but simply overpriced parts that ends into affordable solutions able to make the same.

somebody talks about profit due the cost of this repro parts ? well... tell to Phrotane and Energy Suspension... why they are in bussines with same market of cars available with these pieces on half of the price or even less ?

Profit ? or abuse ?

My guess is that these are produced in very small batches, which is going to drive the cost up. A large company like energy suspension already has the tools and the talent, buys their raw materials in bulk, and can absorb a loss should sales on one particular product not perform as predicted.

There are 18 pieces in the kit which works out to less than $17 per piece. I don't see a lot of profit margin on that, especially the metal parts. Does anyone here work for free? For those who have asked for rubber, here it is. No one is making you buy it. I bought bushings last year so it doesn't matter for me, but I am glad that we have an OE option.

If they were made on an affordable price, more would be sold, so there would be the profit.

Why Prothane and Energy Suspension are able to offer a similar product on a decent price for virtually same part to the same market needs?

I don't think polyurethane is cheaper than rubber, not at least with this huge difference.

Let's check the price again!

True that kit doesn't include the T bars Crossmember mounts! But look at the price! Add maybe 50% more if they were included.

Sorry 69bfan ( and Montclaire ) but this is my opinion, which I think is not out mind. Actually reasoneable and also respectable. I appreciate the effort of making parts, but they should be into the market price rate too.

I dream with the stockish replacement ( really, I do ) Which is not 18 pieces, but actually 22 if we think on the washer attached to the top section of the K member mount, but not being 350-400% more expensive than the alternative part which doesn't look incorrect and adds more stiffening ( so told by experts, better handling ). I can stand 150-180% more expensive, mabe even 200%, but 350-400%?

Add to this that Poly will last longer than rubber! Maybe they could survive me.

Think also both options are pointing out to the same market window and needs.
