I am tired......

Don't wait until later, because if later comes sooner, you'r to late.

View attachment 630606 I'm tired, I think I'll go home now...Forest Gump...Road to Trona.
I was going to suggest, in addition to the good ones already made, if health and your local conditions allow to get out and ride a bike (or even just take long walks) the physical activity can do wonders for your well-being. Spiritual and physical health improvements even in baby steps can change your outlook. Did for me...but the reason I quoted Dennis' post was he mentioned 'Trona' and it reminded me of the hellish Trona 308 bike ride I did a couple years ago..bike riding can be as addictive as mopars!(almost!)

Get a hobby!

Remember, things could always be worse! Be thankful and content with the way things are in your life.

Pick a new activity even if it’s something you’ve never done before. Preferably something that gets you out of the house and around other people. Beanhead suggested biking, that’s a good one because you can do it with others or alone. For me it’s clay shooting, gets me out of the house and something to look forward to. Just gotta find your thing.

Yeah, having a job and health is probably the most important thing in your world right now. Relationships will happen when you get out and do things. They usually happened to me when I wasn't looking and just gave up on dating ..then wham in a relationship. Luckily, I found a woman who is into the same things as me.

Time to start a bucket list and set priorities. When I hit the 50's I realized I was on the clock.

Hay Curt I hope you get feeling better soon. I am a bit of a loaner at times by choice. Some evenings I take a cold beer or two and a outside chair out back behind my barn where all I can see are stars and timber. I listen to nature and relax and let everything else disappear. I hope you have somewhere you can unwind and not worry about anything for a few hours once in a while. Thats what I will be doing tonight with it being friday.

Im the same age as you and sometimes feel less than satisfied with where I am... not to sound unsympathetic but I think it's a choice for the most part.
You have to look at as such, are you going to piss and moan about being stuck in a rut or are you going to make the conscious choice to go out and make it better??? Or at least attempt to...something needs to change, hang outs, friends or effort...

Could be worse, hang in there.
GO FISHING...

Fishing sounds like a great idea...report back with how many you catch....I'm jealous of you been able to fish those beautiful areas.

Hang in there Curt....you have a bunch of people here who care about you..and all members for that matter.

Living like a ground hog....same old, same old......been a year and half for a relationship......longer than that for friends locally......due to past relationship!!! In a rut......no idea what to do or how to change it? Job keeps a roof over my head, food in my belly...with benefits, so I made the mistake of leaving that type of job once...…..ain't doing that again....no fuckin way!!!! I don't know.....in a funk...a rut....a crossroads...….no fuckin clue!!!!

Life can really suck at times!
Dude.....go drive your Mopar...that always seems to cheer me up :)

fishing always works. Better with friends

When I lost my job due to the economy I was out of work for 7 months. It sucked being home alone with the wife at work & the kids at school. With the economy in the tank jobs were hard to find & I spent everyday looking. After about 2 months of no leads I decided I'd look 3 days a week & spend the other days doing something for me to get out of the house.

I had always been interested in metal detecting & bought a decent beginner one. I joined an online metal detecting forum & met up with some local guys to hunt. Was the best thing to get out, dig in the dirt, find old coins / relics... The comradery with my fellow hunters was uplifting as now I could look forward to getting up in the am knowing I was going out & meeting up with my new found friends. 8 years later I'm still doing it & have a really great friend I hunt with!

I agree with the go fishing/ get-away crowd. Just had to do it myself. Loaded up the Jeep, and took off with just the dog to get as far away from people and stress as I could !

Go to the nats find a lady that loves mopars as much as you do. Have a lunch and a cruise around listen to some great music either by radio or exhaust. Enjoy your life believe me someone would trade with you in a heart beat.

Don't take any anti anxiety drugs. The side effects are a bitch and weaning off them is also a bitch. Go breath fresh air and get away for a while. Just enough time for a break.

I would like to thank you all for responding to my rambling....my worries and concerns are pretty trivial to what some of the members are going through or have gone through. I am not trying to bitch and moan, or do a poor me thing.....seriously thinking of seeing a counselor, someone different than close friends or family to chat with, maybe a different perspective to what I am seeing?!?! My close bud who I have known for 33 years, chatted with his boss about me coming to work for them, driving truck, doing long haul....money is better than what I make here at my job with the city, only bad part is the benefits and pension. So I need to toss some ideas around and do some thinking....trying to get out for a walk on the weekends, by myself or with my kids dog.....just to get some fresh air and do something! I guess once in awhile we just get stuck in a rut with the tires spinning and going no where.....need to change!! CHANGE IS GOOD, DONKEY!!!

Again...big THANK YOU to the members here with either advise or personal struggles.....it does mean a lot to me!!!

 :luvplace:

"A bad day fishing is better than a Good Day at work...anyday!"
