I need facts regarding warranty block information please.
A 1969 Dodge Charger has an 4-24-69 built date and the 440 engine has a warranty block that has specific markings either deleted or added (compared to original engine).
1. The "pad" does not have "HP" stamped on it.
Question: Did warranty blocks have the "HP" stamped on the pad or not?
2. The "pad" does have "440 S" stamped on it.
Question: Does the "S" stand for "special" or "service"?
3. The date molded into the side of the block is: 5-22-69
Question: Does anyone else have a warranty block that has a date that is one (or so) months after the built date of the actual car? It makes sense that the date on the warranty block would be a later date of the actual built date of the car.
4. There is no "vin" stamped on the pan rail.
Comment: The machined surface on the pan rail has no numbers or letters stamped on it.
Please provide factual information. Thanks for clarification.
