Shock

Seems to me YOU Red X'd the wrong Post?
You Red X'd fellow forum member zyzzx called out SFSI and stated "Ignition Wires" as you said later

Im done with his thread/post
Dead horse, beaten again and again
Ski what the hell are you talking about?

@super-bee_ski I'm still trying to make sense of what you are talking about???? I never said it was ignition wires.Yes I red X'ed him because I disagreed with him as I immediately posted in in the next line after he stated I was wrong. You can feel 12v shock..
I disagreed with him, theres no phantom here, I feel its appropriate to post the reason why I gave the red X unlike some here that do it and don't post anything.
If I disagree with someone else I'll put a red x and explain my point. As far as that goes I don't give many red 'Xs & SFSI has probably recieved most of mine....sorry Steve....lol!
I did not start calling people names which I found to be totally out of character for you. I try not to bash anyone or their point of view until they start acting like an ***. I dont know zyzzx, never been involved in a conversation with him have nothing against the guy....I guess there needs to be a safe space here outlawing red X's
I do stand by my comment, based on Steve's description... It was not described as a shock, an electrocution or even a jolt....If someone disagrees with me fine doesn't bother me....there was no mal-intent towards zyzzx and I don't think I posted anything that would say otherwise until the **** started flying...
Again I'll post a red X to any thread I feel deserves one, I've been wrong before and will be again but not this time

Its hard to say if it was 12 volt or a leaking plug wire. The thing is it was very hot and humid and i was sweating. At first it felt like something pinched me on the arm and i thought it was the rod that holds the master cylinder cover on. Then i got a nice buzz. Again my hand was touching the carb and my upper arm was laying on that master cylinder cover. I suspect leaking plug wire but I've yet to find it and as i did mention the ground terminal was loose.
The shock i dont care about I'm more concerned was it a plug wire, cap or coil.
Ive been zapped many times while welding, it usually happens when you put a new rod in the holder and your gloves are damp. This is why i always have a few pair of welding gloves mostly for when its wet outside.
Only once did i get a very bad shock welding. I was much younger hence my heart was stronger and if that happened today i could be in trouble. I dont intend to find out
As far as the red X's and this thread, it again has me shaking my head and just proves what I've known all along about the way things go here.
Mike 67 is a really nice man. I PM from time to time with him and its usually not about cars. I dont think he minds me saying this. We dont agree on a whole host of topics and why should we. If he was to RedX a thread/post of mine id never take it personal.
In fact i dont take any Red X personal, some i consider the source and other i just understand the guy does not agree.
If someone cant handle or understand that, i suggest they get over themselves.
Anyway thanks ever so much for the help. Im checking over everything and ordering a quality set of wires and cap to replace my cheap ones. Be well!

No "Safe Space" needed, again, I Thought it was poor ol SFSI throwing down a red X again.
But, I'm corrected now and perhaps "I" have been blaming SFSI for Red x's that he is not responsible for.
So sorry fellow Team members!

I'm "on-track" again.

(And, I don't mind a Red X, heck I find them Badges of Honor)

OHHHH so now i get it!!! You thought it was me LOL....
Question, is that your Firebird, car looks tremendous, as does that Corvette. The other question is what is in that field or vacant lot that i see next to your house, is it the desert?

Thank you Mike

Ah, yes, sadly I made the wrong assumption SFSI
So sorry, and yes, I am asking for forgiveness!

SFSI
Yes, a previous renter of ours needed Ca$h to buy his own home, I bought the 68 firebird from him.
Needs some work but, I replaced the Petronix, as it failed, with a Davis Unified Ignition D.U.I
I LOVE it but was bitten a couple of times as I put the timing light on it, my NEW "Live Wires" are so heavily insulated, I can not get my Snap-On timing light to "pick up" so for Cylinder #1 I used an old wire laying around.
Yup, bitten 2 0r 3 times last Friday 03 August.
JUST LIKE YOU!

As far as the Vet, the 78 25th anniversary?
My Wife and her Husband bought it when he retired from the AF
Then he died in England a couple of yers later
She moved BACK to the Edwards AFB Locale, my neighbor actually and that is how we met.
I had it sold for ...hmmm, $12K or $14K last year but had to tell the guy coming "up" from Long Beach that she was having memories of her and her Husband, and she backed out the Last minute
He said, OKAY and to call him when she is ready to sell.

Again,
Sorry Mike and Steve!

Taking a story out of context can be dangerous. { Hey, I thought I'd add a little levity here on this thread.
