Got to tip your hats to Ford today. 10 millionth Ford Mustang built today. Thanks for giving us something to race against.

I bought a 69 mustang when I turned 16 back in the mid 80's. It was just a notch back with a 302, but I still thought it was the coolest car ever. It was my first car and will always be one of my favorites!

I wedged a 2x4 between the seat and pedal of a 77 mustang Ghia until it quit running , didn't take long

I had several 65-66 Mustangs with two being Fastbacks. I liked the Fastbacks but didn't like the breakage. The 4 speed car broke a lot vs the auto car but the breakage had nothing to do with the driveline. It was stoooopid stuff that shouldn't have broke in the first place. For one, the pedal assembly came apart not once but TWICE! The first time it was fixed with "genuine Ford parts" and the second time I fixed it MY way....and that fixed it. Also, Ford gave us a lot of stuff to laugh about and I appreciate that :D

My first car was a ‘69 coupe that I bought in 1979. My first car. Fire engine red, Cragar mags. Had a 302 with bolt on mods; intake, headers etc. It had no bottom end torque but if you could break the tires free it would smoke them for half a block. Wound up like no other car I’ve ever seen. Love my MOPARS, but that car was freakin’ AWESOME!

Whether you like them or not, Lee Iacocca and Ford created a car that spurred Chrysler and GM and eventually AMC to give us their versions. Competetion has given us the cool stuff we own today. Its still fun to take sides, though.

My wife had a mid 90s 5.0 Mustang. It was a nice car and being a stick was fun to drive. But it was to small for a family.

You do know that the Barracuda hit the streets before the Mustang did, right....although Ford hit a home run and ChryCo only hit maybe a double....

That is correct, by a couple of weeks. Everyone else have been chasing "pony" sales ever since. Personally, I like the look of most Mustangs, hate the way Ford's drive.

You obviously haven't driven a 2018 model with the track pak. Put a cork in your *** cause you're going to need one. These cars stick to the road at any speed and it's only above 130 mph that your brain emits the sensation of fear. Praise be to the engineers for the "Coyote" power plant.

Actually, in comparison to the Mustang, Chrysler really struck out.

Glad you and your cork are a happy couple. You can use it as an air freshener when your done driving.

Don't care what year, I'll take a Chrysler or GM product over a Ford. Don't like 'em, never have, don't have any reason to step foot onto a Ford lot. Glad they're around, adds to the fun.

The prob lem with the Bacaruda was it was a Valiant with a big back window. The Mustang, while it was a Falcon underneath looked nothing like the Falcon.

Longest living pony car, period. Gotta hand it to them.

I am a (modern) Ford guy myself. Ford can make a damn good product when they want to. I have a SHO right now that does 0-60 in 4 seconds. Not bad for a massive 4-door sedan.

Ford marketing during the intro was heads and shoulders above the Barracuda's.
