Hi all, Im trying to help my Dad finish his car and he has been at a standstill for a long while now. He is putting a shaker on his 440 Challenger and every intake he has tried won't work. The ones he needs are non existent from manufacturers. With that said, we need a Weiand 8009 or something very similar. At this point he would do a stock cast intake as well, but preferably not. Thanks

The Mopar M1 dual plane is what we used on a shaker 'Cuda.I think the number is P4529118

There is an Edelbrock CH4B in the Performance Parts forum. A fine dual plane manifold.

Darter, weve tried finding that intake and like the 8009 its discontinued. It was replaced by another part number starting with 515........ if I remember right and that intake is too tall. Would love to find one if we could though!

66, is that CH4b the same height? We have tried a edelbrock before that was too tall if I remember but dont know which one it was. We now have a Holley street Dominator and it is about 1/2” too tall. That was the lowest we could find. I cant find any height numbers or specs on the ch4b to compare but I know we need a height around 3 3/4” tall, the weiand 8009 is 3.810”

Honestly, if the shaker hood clearance is anything like an airgrabber/ramcharger hood, stock intakes are just about all that will fit.....good luck.

Thas the problem we are having, and i cant seem to find anything.

Let me check for you a believe I have a M-1 for the RB. I bought it in 1990 never used it. All I got to do is find it. I will send you a message if I find it tomorrow.

That would be awesome! Let me know! And if you coupd get a measurement of height that would be extremely helpful in knowing if it would work or not. Ive heard the newer aluminum M1’s are taller, I dont know much about them or if thats hearsay

So an 8009 Weiand won't work with a Ramcharger? I just put one on my Coronet, was hoping to get the Ram Air functioning in the future.
I was told that it would work. Doesn't mean I wasn't misinformed though.

Started a conversation with you with photos and measurements. I bought it 1994 .Now that I was thinking about it,from what I remember the M 1 dual plane aluminum is identical to the stock cast version.
