Big Block Water Pump Housing #2780987

September 30th of most likely 1967 or 1968? Before the Pentastar started showing up later in 68. Regardless, 9/30 is too late for my build. Thanks for the offer though.
I have a few leads out checking for you Anthony......

The more searching the more likely to find one......

Water pump housings are a pain to figure out due to multiple vendor and variations....

Building a true OE car is a feat and only some can do it right..........Bring a whole new appreciation to those builds......Tons of accurate research...

Awesome! Thanks Justin!

I've got a few updates.

This last Thursday evening, I e-mailed Tony's Mopars and Steve's Muscle Cars and Parts. Within hours Steve e-mailed me back and said he had a bunch of housings and would let me know the next day on what he found. The next morning Tony e-mailed me back and said he had nothing that fit my day code. I didn't hear from Steve until this morning, Monday, in which the closest he found was 4/24/68. I also called AMS and talked to Anthony. He took down my assembly date and was going to talk to the owner about searching their used inventory.

This morning I worked on my housing. Initially things were going well as I successfully removed the heater nipple with an easy out. After that it went downhill. Previously, I tried to remove the temp senor but it broke off in the housing. So I tried to use an easy out to remove that too but in doing so cracked the housing at the temp sensor bung. Sad to say it but this poor housing is dying a slow death. A replacement housing is inevitable...

Heater hose nipples come out easily if a closely sized punch/steel rod is inserted inside the nipple and a pipe wrench is used on the outside.
