i don't know if this is true or any body has heard this, but i was told by a long time mopar guy that the rockers from a 73-74 charger are the same for a 78-79 magnum has any one ever attempted this. he said they share the same floor plan so the rockers are the same but i dont know about that.

that is interesting
you might be able to figure it out thru checking out part numbers thru the years?
i have a nos outer rocker in my stash.
it is for a 71 but i thought it would fit up to 74
i wonder now if it fits up to a 79?
now i also suspect the side kick panel is the same thing 71-79 as
the listings on ebay for the door hinges are for 71-79
things that make you go hmmm

@Nacho-RT74 probably has the awnser he knows just about every thing with the 71-74 chargers I'm sure he knows others

I can't tell on this for sure. All 71/74 B should share same rockers since attachs to same unybody ( with front clip exception )

Now, about later Bs... well... is the wheel base the same? If so, could share same rockers, but then we need to know if the quarter lenght between wheel opening and door opening is the same too. Why? Because even being same full lenght, maybe the depressed areas where the quarter panel overlaps over the rocker panel could not match.

what exactly of the rocker section you need? Or why?

REALLY? Both sides? DAMN, I wish to know it before! Sure I was bought them from you!!!! I had to rebuilt the section down the quarter panel with patches on my car. I hate patches on areas where water is an issue!

i need outer rockers for a 79 cordoba and i remember this guy telling me years ago that the 73 -74 charger rockers should fit because the floor plan lay out was basically the same i know for a fact the k frame from a 74 charger charger fit a 78-79 magnum i had a 78 magnum in the 90s that i put a 74 big block charger k frame into it so i could put a road runner 383 in it so i just remember what this old guy told me about the rockers would be nice it would solve people that have 75-79 dodge and chrysler b bodys from finding rockers that work.

There is a guy that hand makes rocker panels for 71-74.

I had a set and they looked like the would work, but that project fell through and I sold them.

I have a suspicion that the windshield is also the same up until 79.

i also have really nice original donor inner and outer rockers still all together
still connected to the kick panel with the back door jam still attached :D
don't know which way i'm going on my repair yet as the rockers on my 71 rr have fist sized holes.
but i'm ready before i start.

you can sometimes find nos rockers for sale as they fit a bunch of different models
you just need to keep an eye out.
another NOS rocker story of mine is
a guy listed 3 nos pass side outer rockers for a 68-70 b for a stupid cheap bin price on ebay
so cheap i thought it was a scam,but i just couldn't resist
i got 2 and someone else snagged the other one before i could get it..
i already used 1 of them and i might need the other.

My 72 has a severely rusted out roof.

If I could find a T top roof that wasn't cost prohibitive to ship, I'd be willing to bet I could make it work with very little modification.

There IS a standard Cordoba roof I can have free or near free, just need to go get it.
That would tell.

71-74 Rockers and 75-79 rockers are not the same.
In 71-74 B bodies, the quarter panel wraps over the rocker panel, and on 75-79 B bodies, the quarter and rocker meet at a horizontal seam at the same height as the door to rocker gap.
However, if you wanted to do a cut and splice repair, you may be able to Frankenstein what you need under the door, but that could probably just be fabricated. The rocker on a 71-74 is visibly taller.
There are no correct reproduction rockers available for any B body newer than 1970
