Cool Pics! Any names or bios for the winners? Have to wonder if they're still around and how the rest of their lives went (I was born in 69)...

Now thats amazing you dont see things like that done these days, Oh what i would give to have been born 20 years earlier.

I cried a little....

We had "K" cars :(

We had one at our high school and that is where I fell in love with Roadrunners.

Love the Sun 1120, had one in the old dealership where I was service manager.Very nice pics. Thanks.

Cool pics. Any idea when this event ended? I was an alternate or third wheel so I took the written test but didn't get under the hood in 1972. We were Wyoming state champs, took place at Casper community college. I got a couple of scholarships and job offers and didn't use any of them went to work for the phone co.

I bet in those days the phone co was a pretty good choice!

I was a Zone Manager for Sun during the
70's.
Ran the Sun machines at some of those events

I wonder how many of those Roadrunners are still around? Wonder how many are (were) owned by members of FBBO?

I was in one in Detroit 1967( Barracudas )We missed 3rd place because we put air cleaner snorkel was on the wrong side.

Phone co. was a good choice. I was In Cheyenne at the time and we drove two cars up from local dealers and while we took the written test the gurus screwed the cars up. When the teams ran to the cars and turned the key all of the horns turned on probably 30-40 cars it took a few minutes to quiet them LOL
