My first car way back then had a buddy seat. And my "buddy" would sit on it next to me. She had a nice rack and wore miniskirts.

When I converted my 70 RR from auto to 4 speed, i swapped out the console and put in the buddy seat. The console would constantly crack if i leaned my arm on it . The buddy seat was much better for an armrest. No pics tho, sorry.

My 68 Sport Satellite had a buddy seat, but I think someone cobbled it to mount it. Drilled holes in the driveshaft tunnel and put bolts up through and into the seat. No brackets. It was loose. I got the correct brackets, had the seat re-padded and upholstered to match my seats I really like it, especially when it is in the armrest mode...................MO

One interesting thing about the 67 .
I noticed the bottom frame was bent.
I thought it was damaged until I looked at the mountings on the tunnel.
They are off center for clearance and correct seat placement.
I can only guess that the factory had to massage the frame accordingly

No. They come in different shapes and lengths. I ordered new covers for what I thought was the seat I had and it was too long.
