Do I use 1 or 2 Intake Manifold gasket per side on valley pan on Torker Intake Manifold
I also have a Edelbrock Torker Intake Manifold for my 440 my Intake gaskets kits come with 4 intake gaskets and a valley pan do you put 1 intake before and after the valley pan? thank you

Most will say just use the valley pan and a light smear of RTV on the valley pan to seal the intake ports.

I think the MP pan with blocked heat passage recommends pan and one gasket. It makes the intake bolts on one side hard to get in.

Depends on the gap...i lay the manifold in place dry and see how it fits, that determins my gasket selection ....

I agree 100%

All the factory original will say they didn’t come with them

True they didn’t , but everything was brand new back then , using factory brand new heads , factory new block , factory new intake

Now with rebuilt motors / blocks, deck here , cut there , aftermarket heads , aftermarket intakes

Nothing worse then an intake leak thru the valley pan sucking oil because the factory never used those gaskets and

I have used no gaskets

I have used two gaskets

I have used four gaskets

Yep what these guys said. No blanket answer unfortunately you need to check manifold to head fitment and use the setup that doesn't throw alignment off or cause leaks. Small feeler gauge is your friend:)

I had in the past just used the tin pan on my 383 with my performer intake , like posted above just a little rtv around the ports and pan bar ends. never had any leak problems, also used a little thread sealer on the manifold bolts to stop oil from wicking up the threads.

My 440 I just installed , the felpro kit had a steel pan with heat block off plus the 4 gaskets.
I used the complete kit, gaskets on bottom, steel pan and the top gaskets, little rtv to just hold things inplace and the pan bar ends. Same deal , no leaks or problems, all the bolts went right in, heads and block were not milled just cleaned up with brakekleen and a razor blade.

I used a bead of RTV on the head to valley, and gaskets valley to intake.
