factory max wedge firewall brake lines

I just did an internet search and found that Right Stuff has a couple of Max Wedge kits (3 lines) listed on Amazon right now. RKT6401 - $46.31 or RKT6401S - $65.23

Yes, I got the complete disc front, drum rear, w/ dual master cylinder, conversion kit from them. I'm using their ss brake lines as well. Are the lines a perfect reproduction of the originals?
I don't know?
I will tell you that everything was good quality and all the lines hooked into the clips and easily threaded into the fittings, wheel cylinders and calipers.
Not cheap, but good quality, never is.

sorry for multiple blank replies- my computer keeps deleting the post before I can reply. I had to re install the brake line I made- I can't do a replica of the factory line with the engine in it. I couldn't tell if the covering on the brake line was coil wire or heat shield, I do recall the coil sections over the area where rocks may damage. thinking of getting spark plug wire heat shields and put them over the brake lines in critical area's. the disc brake changeover looks tempting but $$ is to tight to do that now. the new brake lines with painted? covering turned out to be the leak issue on the Dodge, when I flared the line the paint covering stayed and paint chips allowed it to leak .done over I scraped all the painted surface off at the flare.my goal now is just to get it back on its feet
and as stated quality counts -you get what you pay for.
it's not how much, it's how much a month.

That was me but your settings won't allow me to pm you.

wow, OK. I'll see why my settings wont allow the PM, I'd really have no issue posting my e-mail address online though. give me some time to work on it. this site is confusing to me, but I'm old..

No worries Geri. You can try to pm me if you like then maybe I'll be able to respond to your pm.
I'd like to see some pics of what you're working on.

I think?? I sent you a PM. my only and last project is my '64 Dodge 330 sedan, having real steering issues though. the drag link is in a bind when the idler is hooked up? VERY hard to turn the wheels, even off the ground.

Very nice 330. This is what I was looking for when I bought the convertible.
Is the problem in the steering box?

No not the steering box, I just put a new one in. the problem seems to be in the idler when it is tightened it locks the steering, with the fittings loose it does not want to align with the tapered hole in the drag link and in the cross member- I ordered a new idler- hoping this one is bent , if it isn't that means the cross member is bent at the anchor for the idler.
the idler on this car has a single point taper anchor point, .I may have to get a new cross member.

Happy to measure my idler and centerlink to compare with if needed.
I don't think I'll need that but thank you. it looks like the former owner mixed and matched parts, wrong oil pan, with tie rod rubbing on it, -many other details, but I'll get through it, I enjoy the chase..
