63 Only

Back to 63 only...Thanks to my terrific wife, I was able to buy back my old Max Wedge car that I owned from 1977 to 2009.

Yes I remember you and your convertible, it was quite a while ago. Beautiful car! Craig

Your convertible looks great! Thanks, Craig.

I just got a 63 330 post car that was going to be raced but I'm going to return it to some street duty. It has a SS/GT 318 4 bbl and 4 speed in it now but I'm going to put a B wedge and T flite in it's place. Narrowed 8 3/4, 4 wheel wilwood discs, spool...change to a posi unit but it is 35 spline so will need another set of aftermarket axles and so on. I am looking for the driver side quarter panel stainless trim for the 330 which is about 3/8-1/2 inch wide if anyone knows of one available somewhere. The picture shows the passenger side missing but I have that one, it's just not installed yet.

nice ride for the street will be even nicer. great start

That is true Kid, my '65 is stock in the back while this 63 has Caltracs and split mono leafs and right now by what I can measure they are not correct for the car. By the dimensions I can find the front segments are correct but the rear segments seem to be 2" too long. The rear hangers are swung maxed to the rear which is for sure not correct.

I have the spool in my heap,,,,,,,the one it came with 30 years ago!Phuck those posi problems......:D

Interesting to see the '63 commercial and the skinny *** poly tires with the guy driving through water and such. And the dipped down rear was the thing back then on most cars for that appearance of "take off". Early hot rodding car tricking actually had guys upping the front more than stock. Amazing how a bit of rise in the rear changes the look of the car.
