I just returned from my upholsterer, and as I suspected, SMS sent the wrong material for my project repair. This was after waiting 6 months for them to send it. I have started the process again with them, but ? Does anyone know of another supplier to get original material form ? I'm looking for 2 yards of vinyl - L-1818 Turquoise. The car is a 1963 Dodge 330. It's the darker of the 2 vinyls in pic.

Long shot is someone may have some left over from a previous project. Any help, or leads appreciated, Thanks.

Vandan, reach out for member @nodust here on this site. He was working on a 62 B-Body and discovered a supplier for some material for his car. Otherwise, SMS is pretty much the only supplier for some of these unique materials. SMS bought out Original Auto Interiors so they control that market and they use Acme for some of the materials. But otherwise, your going to have to get lucky and hopefully someone has some material hoarded away. Legendary buys from SMS for those customers who are willing to step up and pay for the NOS pricing.

SMS has bought most suppliers out now.

Did you check with Classic Industries for the complete cover. If they show it ask if its in stock.

I just looked through their catalog and their bench seats are '64 on up.

I bought a headliner from SMS. I have had to wait a staggering 14 months for them just to send the material. I lost count of how many times I followed this up with emails and phone calls only to be told that it will be shipped “next week”. If I had a dollar for everyone I’ve heard that one. Anyway, I have just had notification from Legendary that they have received the material, so I really should be getting it next week. Unfortunately SMS have the market and treat their customers accordingly.

Don't get your hopes up with Legendary either. I just recently had to deal with them with reupholstering my friends blue interior for his 69 b body and the color they sent him was no where close to his original color. Not only was it darker but the color now had an iridescent sheen to it unlike his original low mileage survivor car. My reproduction Legendary covers that are probably close to 20 years old now matched his original interior almost exactly and did not match the new stuff from them. Now, before anyone goes saying that it could be a dye lot difference or anything like that, I know that original blue interior colors did not have that iridescent sheen to it so its like they got the wrong roll of material and are trying to pass it off to unsuspecting folks.
