Looking for an original 440 dipstick tube. My car is a 73 Charger if that matters. Small dents are OK as long as the tube itself is not deformed.

I bought a repop from Year One and it snapped off when I tried to install it.

Yes. I put a wrench over the flange to hammer it into place. Had it almost seated when the upper tubed snapped off at the flange.

Probably. They are cheap as dirt so I'll just buy another one and do a little more prep this time before trying to install it. Was hoping that someone had a good ol' used one laying around.

Sand down the end below the flange then install it, that’s what I did. It was still tough but helps a lot. Little oil on the end helps also

After sanding, did you have to place a wrench over the collar and whack it, or were you able to push it in by hand?

I actually used a wood block and a rag on top of it and tapped it in with a dead blow, should’ve used a wrench I didn’t even think of that
