I updated my gauges with the RTE Instrument Voltage Regulator (IVR) and their tach board. If you are working on 1967 gauge cluster here is what you need to know based on my install. The RTE directions for the 1967 charger have not been updated to reflect these changes below needed to support our cars but I am sure it is coming. With the exceptions below I followed the RTE instructions.

1. The newer tach boards from RTE are smaller in diameter than the original boards and the early RTE boards which could utilize the old rivet mounting location and spacers based on the install manual. The new board I received could not.

2. The Original board had larger holes to allow the board to slide down over the 3 brass stand-offs and mount to the rivets where as the new board has smaller holes.

You can see the differences in the picture below

To install the new style board:

1. Drill out the rivets to remove the old board and spacers

2. I purchased the following part numbers from Grainger to install as pictured below. You can use other parts just make sure the Pots have clearance. They sit above the board ~.480”

a. Part #6RU42 = ½” stand-off (3 req)

b. Part #6Ry62 = ¼” barrel spacer (3 req)
b. 8-32 brass nuts (3 req)

3. The board is ~.062 and the parts above will give you the correct gauge height when installed. My original stand-off height was .810”. I just finger snugged the studs and board to maintain ground during the install.

When assembling into the gauge you can check clearance on the” Input 12v” and “Points” stud wires inside the can to the 4 vertical pins standing up off the board. Mine were close and required some adjustment

The stand-offs I used have an 8-32 thread to mount to the can and the original stand-offs had 10-32. You see below no issues with using 8-32 nuts to mount the can. I added 2 holes to allow Pot adjustments after assembly which is not required if you do the adjustment upfront per RTE instructions.

Thanks for the info! I've rebuilt probably close to 100 67 Charger tachs for my gauge resto business, and I have always carefully drilled out the mounting holes to clear the original posts, and then use a small amount of quickset glue to hold the board to the original brass spacers. I will definitely order some of these standoffs, much cleaner assembly.

Thanks, Glad I could pay it forward. I now have dash lights, gauges and rotating headlights.
