Were the Chargers all equipped with front sway bars? Were rear sways stock or an option? Or an option only with certain packages. TY.

The only cars I know of that got a rear sway bar were the AAR Cuda and TA Challenger.

Not all cars, A-B-E, got front sway bars.

How about the trailer packages? Would they have used the rear sway?
TY.

I’m not sure. My 64’ Dodge had a trailer hitch from the factory and no rear sway bar.

This is a good topic & I only "half know" the answer. For Roadrunners, they all had front sway bars (not sure what a base Charger would get). The rear sway bars weren't even available until '71-'72(???)….and I'm not sure if rear sway bars were standard or optional. I'm pretty sure at least the performance Chargers would be the same...….half and answer.

And I'm wondering too if any special option 'Heavy Duty Suspension' package had one. Interesting.

I really don’t know.

Road Runners had a rear sway bar option for 69. It was available for Taxi and Police cars under the Satellites. The Firm Feel is a very close copy.

Pretty sure the only cars before 72 that could have a rear one were cop and taxi cars. No RR or Chargers.

Every 72 Roadrunner I owned and remember looking at years ago had the rear sway bar. I also have had 2 71 Roadrunners with the rear sway bar, one was a 340 auto car, and by the condition of the bottom I'd say that was on it's whole life. I didn't buy it new so I can't swear to it. The other is the car I have now. The spring plates and frame bracket were on the car, the bar missing. Again can't say if it were factory. Mother Mopar did odd stuff back in the day so never say never. My friend's dad back in the day bought a new 70 Roadrunner from the Plymouth dealer in Tiffin Ohio, when he went to pick it up they told him he had to bring it back in a couple weeks because the car was shipped to them with a 2 barrel carb.

My 70 R/T (E) has factory rear sway......

To say it has one doesn't mean it came from the factory with it. Thousands of cop cars and taxis ended up in wrecking yards and I sure a lot of rear bars came from them.
After owning a couple hundred Morpars I would have to see factory documentation stating that they were available before 72 on anything other than cop and taxi cars.
