For the Love for my Father, My 69 GTX Restoration

The original window sticker has seen better days but it is amazing it survived. For display purposes I got a reproduction made. It doesn't matter how perfect one can get one made. They are reproductions. The original will be available to the judges at the show.

Well Folks....I just got the final confirmation today that the GTX will be heading to the Gilmore Museum after the MCACN show. They will be displaying the GTX in the new muscle car exhibit. It will be there for a period of a year. If they decide to keep it longer than so be it. To me this is a true testament for the love for my father....

Gilmore museum is about an hour from here, never been there but will definatly make a point to get there next year to see that masterpiece in person, congratulation!
 
Your car is of such a high standard Justin, it belongs in a place like that where it can be enjoyed by the general public. I am sure your Dad would be very proud.

Thank you for the compliments! Seems like you do have a good reason to take a road trip! We will be heading out there when the GTX gets set on display!

Thank you very much for the compliments! For me, to be without the car for a year or more will be an adjustment. However, I agree it should be accessible to the public and it will have great caretakers to boot....The story and the car will be available for all to see...That in itself is fulfilling.

Justin, congrats on your GTX going over to Gilmore's. The Gilmore Museum is a great place to show case a car of such high standards as yours. We will be getting over there next July when the Mopars at the Red Barns event is there and will most certainly be checking out your GTX.
I am mostly over on FEBO, but do get over here once in awhile.

It is great to see you around these parts....Thank you very much for the compliments.....Through the years I have heard great things about the museum but I have never been there. I also had a couple friends that have/had cars there and their experiences were stellar. There is a member here that has his car there know. It is actually the Bee in the pic above and he gave me some good insight to the museum and a good word to the committee.

We are planning to be out there in July for that event. You will have to shoot me a pm when it gets closer.

I usually go to FEBO to check out Grady's TA build......
