December 2016, I bought a black 66 Satellite on E-bay. It was a painted shell motor and trans were in the car but little else, no brakes, no trim windshields etc... super clean and straight body. From March to September I worked on it at my friends garage, put the trim on it, got the brakes to work and put a driveshaft in (so I could put it in park)
I was pretty busy last September, here is a shot of when I moved the Satellite home to start putting the engine bay together.
Nice sunny day, you can see the Charger in the background.
The 98 Ram is my son's a $500 truck a 3/4 ton HD it's been a great truck.
I drove it about a month after these were taken.

C’mon with updates! Snow’s gonna start flying pretty soon!

I'll do a more complete timeline of the whole process in a separate thread. It's kind of a pain because I need to resize all my pictures.
But I did document most of the work (or should I say play).

Oh man, she's got to be a beauty. Already is!

Just a couple of things. First in the 2nd pic, you have a Fram Oil Filter on you motor. Get rid of it. There have been countless forum posts on them and the majority consensus is not good for oil filter because of their shoddy and cheap construction. With all the work you are obviously doing, I would think that you would want to not have any problems cropping up down the road. And the Fram's will be the cause guaranteed. Second...I have a 66 also that I completely rebuilt. They are really a neat year IMHO. I have a lot of left over NOS and original parts if you need them. Let me know down the road as you get further into your rebuild. I especially like the Black color you have on it. It is going to be one bad 66 cruiser...cr8crshr/Tuck:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Don has done a really great job on the Satellite. He has shown me the car and told me a bit (I am sure he only hit the highlights). It is a gorgeous car !

Well Done Don !
