I haven't made it yet, and in unusual meteorological circumstances, it has been raining in South Louisiana and Mississippi for a week, tonight included.
Tomorrow is 60% chance of rain, but then the USUAL Crusin the Coast weather patterns kick in with only a 20% chance of rain for the rest of the week and weekend!
Been working on BOTH my Roadrunner and my wife's GTO, and finally got them mechanically ready. We still need to wash and detail them which will happen tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday morning.
The GTO's brand new Quick Performance rear axle assembly, UMI suspension, and Wilwood 4 wheel disc brake system are broken in and adjusted, and the 3x2bbl Rochesters are dialed in and ready to GO, and I mean GO! I had an opportunity to do a WOT 1st and 2nd gear "test hit" and WOW! Hardly any tire spin and that new 3.80 R&P gear really makes the built 421 happy!
I got my Promax modded 3x2 bbl Holley carbs tuned for now and no leaks (finally).
Get ready for random bombardments of pictures over the week long event and more after next weekend.
Anyone who is going, post up here or PM me!
SEE YA!

Looking forward to the pictures and planning for next year.

Coming down Thursday. Around 9:30. Be in the Fairlane. Don't hate me. Lol. Where's the mopar shows at?

Last year C the C had over 7900 cars registered for the event (not everyone there registers) and it was cut short by a gulf storm. A friend who registered early this year has a number over 8000! Saw lots of old cars heading east on I-12 today.

Lord willing we’ll be there with my ten year old son on Saturday. My charger is far from ready and the challenger isn’t ready either. The mustang may make the trip just have to wait and see.

Man I've been wanting to go to this for a while, I'm due for a long haul in the coronet !

I'll be in Biloxi on Friday, any Mopar events? Won't have the car this year, first time going and seems to be a better idea to get the layout / cruise locations (general event feel) before investing in the 1,000-mile round trip and renting a $300 u-haul trailer.

It'll be worth it! You will see everything imaginable here. If we could only keep the turd weasels I Jeeps from clogging up the roadway!

For sure, we go to Daytona Beach for the Turkey Run in around eight-weeks, that's our big show twice a year. 5,000 hot rods, all in one place and cruising for a week straight at the beaches. Cruising the Coast looks like a great time, it's almost hysterical how many cars have registered. We're really looking forward to it, first year for us, so just want to take everything in without the stress of parking our trailer (somewhere) and three cars at our hotel. My Power Wagon can't even fit in normal parking garages so that makes it a bit tougher!

Tuesday evening, late, I finally made a cruise from around 7pm and came back at midnight.
Up at 6:15am. Went and registered, got to the Wednesday morning only Biloxi Block Party toward the end at 2pm.
Made the "Blessing of the Cruisers" and car parade through Diamondhead, MS which was fun, HOT, but fun. Age groups watching were newborns to ninety.
Probably going to take it easy this evening, outside possibility of taking a ride, but doubtful.
Tomorrow morning I'll be at Mopars at the Marina for 7:30am to detail and get a good spot, and jabberjaw with my local and out of town Mopar friends.
Going to "Burning 'em Up in the Pass" in Pass Christian Thursday evening from 5-8pm.
Friday hanging out at Cruise Central and then classic muscle cars and Test and Tune at Gulfport Dragway from 4pm till around 8pm.
Saturday at dawn we will be at the Bay St. Louis venue.

Just a few pix.

The Saturday at the end of Cruisin the Coast is the BIGGEST day.
I have always been in Bay St. Louis MS. for that day. Hope to see y'all there!
Look for me with the Lemon Twist 70 Roadrunner and the Purple Mohawk

Is that a '53 Studebaker?
It's a Studebaker. I don't know what year.
The Studes with that same appearance have always impressed me with their futuristic, aerodynamic style.
There was a 5 mile deep black paint job on one that had mirror polished front bumper and brightwork that really blew me away! Stunning!

I believe it to be a '53. Compare it to the lead sleds that the big 3 were cranking out at the time. It's very attractive and seems a decade ahead of the curve at least.

I agree, . They started putting V-8s between the fenders when L6s were still the norm.
Of all the orphan males, I like Studes the best.
Good eye!

I'll be out tomorrow through Sunday in Biloxi, do you have event information from the registration booth or are you just going off the website? Great pictures so far.
