69 Roadrunner Winter Project.

Interior shot. Waiting for my Legendary front covers to show up. Due in 1 Nov. Original rears are nice so no need to replace. Car has black carpet in it now but correct blue on the way as well.

Also here's the window sticker. Definitely bare bones.

I think I remember carpet color getting discussed on here e few years ago. If I remember correctly, all 1969 4-speed RR's got black carpet regardless of interior color.

I've never had a blue interior car and just assumed the carpet should be dark blue. I'll check with the guy I got it from. He'll know what it started with. Thanks for the heads up.

That's what they should have, look at "Floor covering"...

Somewhere saw someone saying that all deluxe interiors got colored key carpet. I'm curious about this to.

My B5 69 had color matching interior including the carpet however it was an automatic. My second roadrunner (4 speed) was scorch red and it had black interior.

Thanks for all the insight. I did just confirm with the previous owner that the car originally came with black carpet. Just in time to cancel that blue carpet I ordered from Legendary.

Now just need to find some dark blue kick panels and bench seat hinge covers.

Got the correct dark and medium blue paint from Herb's. Looks great and the paint really matches the original shades on the A posts, seat hinges and kick panels. Nice product.

Now just waiting on those front seat covers from Legendary to begin to put the finishing touches on the inside.

Got my front seat covers in over Christmas vacation. Took me a try or two on the backs trying to get the wrinkles out. Wife got me some new Roadrunner mats as well.

Thanks also to hunt2elk for the front bench seat I needed. It turned out great.

Same here. A few years ago, I had an original 69.5 Roadrunner Code 97 Green Ext. with dark green interior 4 speed bench and it came with dark green carpet. It was a decor interior car which I believe is the key. Those cars had color keyed carpet.
