Ok I have a 67 Plymouth, and I bought the Flip Top, rubber piece, and the 2 back pieces to install, and I cant find anything out there on taking a regular cap to a flip top. can you use the existing screws? if anyone has done this and has a video, pic by pic or can walk me through it, it would be greatly appreciative

Some body mods may be required....

It doesn't necessarily just fall into place...

On a 67 Plymouth B body, it should be a bolt on.

You need to find screws that are the same size, pitch and length.

The ones I used were slightly too long and almost hit the body in the depressed area but work.

I think the factory used a non standard length.

Interesting cross interchange...

The factory used tamper proof screws with a conical head having three half round depressions.

Those same screws were used to secure the radios in the 80's!

Original owner put one on my 66 Satellite and didn't put the inner trim ring on. Every time under hard acceleration gas would come out filler tube. Make sure that doesn't happen.

the trim ring traps the second rubber grommet seal.

if you don't use it, you will have a 3/4" gap between the pipe and the cap.
