Found this on the net and I'm wondering if this is an actual "barn find" or if it is a fake. The Ramchargers raced sedans from all the pictures and videos I've seen but their stickers show a hard top like this one. Did they race a hardtop at one point?? Anyone know??

I don't know if it's real or fake but it sure looks "real" f'n cool. I'll be watching to see who knows any of the history of this car...

The only 64 I have ever seen them race is a sedan. I think this may just be a somebody's project but either way very cool. maybe someone can prove me wrong because it would be awesome if it was real.

I'm sceptical. Four headlights, no hood scoop, most believing they raced sedans. Do you really believe something that iconic could be so neglected?

The only hardtops I remember seeing were AWB cars, then I found this. I know it's a model kit, it's just like the one above. Typically these kits had to get 'authorized' by the team.

is the "rust" in the correct places?

I think the one giveaway is the shoe polish on the windows. Too bright and out of proportion. The background looks suspicious. Still cool how these model builders simulate the patina.

So sick of the whole "barn find" phenomenon. There must be dozens of barns in every city, cause they find these things quite often. And what are most barn finds anyway? They are rusted up left outside cars, because the owner was too lazy to store it somewhere out of the elements, but they still think they should get top dollar.

tens of thousands of barns in every city

circa 1980, the neighbor's barn next to my grandmothers house got broken into.

no one had been inside for at least a decade.

there was a 1951 pontiac 2 door with the head off the inline six.

only surface rust in Ohio!

I would think that it is all B/S but dont forget its on the internet :rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

Looks photoshopped to me. Then again my eyes ain't to good. Where is the leaf spring?

It is a car that the owner did up that way. Not real deal. I think it was a barn find that he did up. He liked the superstock vibe. There was an article in Mopar Collectors Guide a few years ago on it.

Yes, Kid, amazing how they simulate patina these days.

My Brother worked in Hollywood as a set painter. Faux finishes and aging was something they all did
He aged the Titanic set when the submersible went down to look at it in the movie. Really impressed
me how everything looked. The car looks good! Period. Wish I could do that!

I don't think that the Ramchargers race cars had radio antennas.
