Morning boys,, Is there any book on engine rebuilds that's better than the others? Got the 440 HP block. Not looking to go crazy, just freshen things up a little. Hasn't started in a number of years. Its not frozen but I'd rather check it out and not have problems later. Looking for a good reference book. Thanks in advance guys!

I used a book by Don Taylor for my small block rebuild and it was very in depth and useful. I just ordered his big block book and it seems to also have tons of info in it for a stock rebuild. Of course, if the manufacturer of the hardware (ARP, etc...) has different torque values use those, but as far as step by step you can't beat it.

Got the same book and I love it

Great book, lots of great info but not so much along the lines for torque specs, clearances, etc. The FSM is a great source for the needed specs not to mention it's a must have for the whole car.[/QUOTE
FSM? Sorry, missed that one.
