Info is from the booklet you get at registration, but the website is ok for info. Also from phone calls to Gulfport Dragway re racing info, etc.

Hard to get uninterrupted sleep with 3 large dogs, one small pig, me, and my wife all in a queen size bed.

Coffee drinkers would understand, after yet another night of the crowded bed, and the FREIGHT TRAIN that runs 1/2 block from the house LAYING on the horn-of course, because what else would they do at 3:30am, or 2:07am, or 4:50am....
Anyway, coffee drinkers, I was drinking 8 O'clock coffee at 6am....

I just got a call. Had to get some emergency work done on the front suspension and brakes. Going to pick up the Roadrunner.

The red car and black car at the tail end of the previous post, the back of those 2 cars appearing here, are both "older" cars I would actually love to have vs my Roadrunner, and that is saying a lot. One has a 426 Max Wedge and the other a Gen 2 426 Hemi. The black one is a Plymouth Savoy. With the factory cast iron performance manifolds and exhaust block off plates removed, they sound AMAZING. Both are 4 speed manual transmission cars.

Saw both of them at mopars at the battleship. Great cars. I came down yesterday. Car trouble coming and going home. But was still the most fun I've had in awhile. Just driving around was so cool. And the grub at The Shed was bad either.

I was over loaded with cool cars and parts at the swap meet. Only took two photos. My co-pilot was representing even thou the drove the ford. Lol. Black car was our borrowed ride to the coast.

Love B Bodies, but that black ‘Cuda ragtop is sweet. Try to sneak in some more eye candy if you get the opportunity. 2 legged.

On a trip in the "Canyons" of Utah right now. Could be on our route home after next year's show.

A few mopars we saw today. Had a good time. Fella let my son sit in his Shelby cobra. Twin turbo. Too much to see in one day. Hopefully will get to make a week of it soon.

Even an entire week isn't enough!
A suggestion from a "veteran" of Cruisin the Coast:
As best as you can, look at the schedule of venues, and try to make the major events in the different locations.
A few that have become priorities for me and my wife are:
"View the Cruise" downtown Gulfport, it was Sunday September 30th this year, and is usually early in the week of the event. 8am to 4pm
Also plan on spending some time at Cruise Central, maybe the day you register if you don't preregister or just time it with a band or bands or a celebrity signing event.
Also take some time during the week to go to the mall and show n' shine in the mall parking lot in Gulfport. Later in the day is best to beat the heat, but it is over around 9pm or so.
Flame throwing competition at the Island View Casino in Gulfport is more fun than I had expected, and has become a regular event for attendance.
Biloxi Block Party was Wednesday morning from 8am to 2pm. If you want to be in the show area with your car, get in line before dawn!
Thursday morning (always on Thursday morning) is the MUST attend Mopars at the Marina in Long Beach!
Thursday afternoon/evening is Burn 'em Up in the Pass in Pass Christian. If you don't want to fry your tires, it is still a GREAT venue to show n' shine and there are some nice shops and restaurants.
Friday may be a good day to go to Ocean Springs, but once again a predawn line up is the best way to get a spot to park your car in the show venue.
You may just want to cruise through the different cities to get a feel for what they are like.
Saturday of the ending weekend of CtC is by far the biggest day, and for us that always means Bay St. Louis venue! We got a spot at 4:15 am and parked, then went back around 8:45am to reposition the cars for the day and into the night event.
Somewhere in the week at night from Wednesday on this year was a very "relaxed" spirit at Gulfport Dragway so you can have ride alongs down the quarter mile, best dial in, grudge racing, etc.
Evening cruises along the coast highway are always fun, even in heavy traffic. It's like a parade and you are in it!
