Intake crossover holes

Should I tap and plug this hole under the carb? One is already plugged. I live in Florida and planning to plug the crossover ports. Seems like this hole could cause a vacuum leak if the intake gasket doesn’t seal.
 
Those are EGR ports. It looks like you have an EGR delete plate on the manifold (bottom of pic). If the plate is sealed properly, you shouldn't have a problem.
 
I plugged some of those with tapered pipe plugs years ago I was worried raw fuel might get in them with the engine off if the carb leaked. And on the manifold I did if the other end leaked you would get a vacuum leak.
I felt on that particular manifold if the were plugged problem avoided.
Your setup may be different however.
