Members in the Florida/Georgia/Carolina areas....get prepared and stay safe folks. Praying for your safety....

Lots and lots of rain here in the Savannah area. Georgia governor Perdue has issued a state of emergency for 92 counties. Pretty tame here so far, but all of our brothers and sisters to the west (and south) will be in a much worse situation. Prayers for all.
:praying:

Cat 3 at the moment. Luckily, they think it'll move through pretty fast

Everyone stay safe!
This storm overnight has moved up the scale to a Cat 4 with sustained winds of 145 mph.

And then there is that one person and their dog that is gonna ride it out.......in a mobile home no less!.........and only 30 minutes from the coast outside of Panama City....GEEEZZE:realcrazy:

Charlotte area was not "swamped" too bad with the last one. But the last thing we need is more water . . . The mosquitoes around here are so thick, and they seemed to have gotten bigger too . . .

Now this can help"increase:" the mosquito population . . . Oh boy . .

I have good friends who live in Niceville, about 50 miles west of where the storm made landfall. They live on the water on the bayou. Hopefully , the storm surge will not get them. They're on the NW corner of the storm, so hopefully the winds will be a little less too. They're sheltering in place with most of their neighbors. I'm worried for them. Say a prayer !!!!

Stay dry fellas
I hope it won't be too bad

good luck

Qwnt over our heads this time ! Cat 4 ain't no joke but as long as it keeps moving there not that bad ! When they sit in one place dumping water is when it is not good !

Just heard from my friends. They're ok. Moved really fast and didn't get flooded. Guess they were on the lucky side of the eye and the surge.

Weather Channel has been showing pretty intense wind damage.

1 casualty so far.

Huh? Tell that to the folks in Mexico Beach. I’ve lived in Florida all my life and the first hurricane I can remember going through was Donna in 1960 and even though we had hurricane force winds, we were not even close to the center, where it was really bad. In all the years here, I have only experienced four eyewalls and was never in a cat 4. Three cat 3’s was good enough for me. I read a post somewhere that they had been through dozens of hurricanes. Unless they were some kind of storm chaser, I call bs.

I've been threw a bunch I've been in FL the past 30 years and I live 15 mins from the beach!
If your un prepared yeah there bad ! I've road every storm out (in a wood framed house)
And I've been inside the eye a hand full of times .
You just got to be smarter then the average person!

When Ike came in, it was downgraded to a C 1 storm shortly after making land fall but even at that, it was a very large storm and lasted way too long. The eye was 50 miles across and lasted here for nearly 45 minutes. Luckily, it was a fairly dry storm but it did make a huge mess. 100 mph sustained winds for hours and hours is no fun. Sick of living near the coast and am ready to get the hay out of here.

Glad to see that you guys posting that everything is ok where you're at.
It looks really bad for Mexico Beach and sounding areas. It looks like that area pretty much got wiped off the map. I hope the numbers don't start going up when they start digging into that area. Prayers for all of you down there.

Not the Booze Express!!!!!
