I posted in Wheels but thought I would ask here as well maybe someone has run into this. I bought some New 15x7 magnum 500s and they will not fit on the rotor as the hub is to big for the center opening in the rim. The wheel guy I bought them, from said they fir a stock rotor..do some rotors have larger hubs?
Thanks
AL

Maybe they are off a different car, or someone put the wrong ones on. Anyway, post up a picture, that would help, and if you know the diameter of the hub, that also helps.

These are what mine look like, don't know the exact measurement of the hub.

Also make sure your wheels are for a 4.5 bolt pattern and not something else. Your rotors should also be 4.5 bolt pattern.

Alot of after market wheels don't fit over the grease cap ! Get us some numbers "
Is it the grease cap that's holding them off or the hub itself?

Real "Magnum 500's", at least the originals don't have center registers.

if yours are "brand new" maybe they are for ford.

The rear of the rim shows that it is tapered part way into the center..the box clearly says it is for mopar..which is why I was thinking some rotors have a larger hub

Sold buy GLA up here in Canada..china made..it is a nice rim...except for this issue *g*

Did you measure the bolt pattern to make sure its the correct size?

I doubt it is your rotor that is holding it up. Do you have stock calipers or are they aftermarket? I ask because I bought 15x7's and 15x8's for my 72 and they would not fit over the rear disc conversion. Even though they are 15" rims, the inner part of the wheel was made from a 14 inch rim molding so it wont clear the aftermarket calipers at the lip "barely". My fronts were fine as they are stock. My wheels are from wheel vintiques. I had to use small wheel spacers to get it to clear. After 10 trips to summit, I finally found a set that was the right size and hub centric. If this is the case you will also have to extend the studs too.

As others have said, the other thing it could be is the hub itself doesn't fit in the hole.

It is the hub that does not fit, it fit a couple of my buddies mopars but the hubs on those cars were tapered. I will just hone out the rim a hair and should be good. Thanks

So I tried the rim on 3 other mopars and it fit fine, the issue is the hub on the rotor. The other cars all had a tapered hub.
Now to look for rotors with a tapered hub and all should be good.
Thanks for all the help
