I have a 69 426 hemi block with 68 heads and intake. The block has never been in a vehicle or had pistons in it. It was water tested at facfory and us .010 undersized. Asking $25,000 o.b.o. make an offer.

Curious what the bores look like after sitting for 50 years never being run.

Well, some hemi nut bag will buy this, but maybe for less than asking price, but a LOT more that with one dropped zero.

You mentioned something being 10 thou undersized? What is undersized? Did you mean the bore is 10 thou oversized?

From 66 service manual. Believe it means .008 O/S tappet bores. Old lifter and .007 feeler gauge to check?

Seems strange it has the paint markings on the side of the block for production piston select fit. But is also stamped for .020" oversize bore? If it wasn't meant for a production motor, why the paint stamps? Why was it never used?
