I am on ebay looking at factory console shifters for my 68 charger. I am seeing two different shifters for the 68-9 b body console, one is a hurst # 6337, the other is 4084. Why is there two different shifter handles for a console shifter? Is one of them aftermarket?
thanks

I believe there is a pistol grip and standard hurst shifter,I dont know of another. Is it a repop?

Both say B body console. Both are Hurst non pistol grip

The second link in post #3 is the one that is in my car, but mine is a '69.

P.S.
WOW! Seems rather pricey for a shifter handle.

There are 2 shifters for a 4-speed in 68. The early built one is an Inland type with the lift up rev lockout the other is the round handle with the single line HURST lettering. In 69 the HURST lettering is outlined on the round handle.
I thought the switch from Inland to Hurst was in '69, meaning that the '68's had Inland and the '69's had Hurst.

later 68's used the HURST handle as well, same handle as the 69 but the HURST lettering was different as i stated in my post

yep that 2nd shifter is big money.

What is the first shifter? It's it an aftermarket Hurst made for console b bodies?

Some early 68 B cars came with the toilet flusher Inland unit. Bruce Raymonds Pistol grip was new with the 1970 models.
