Pro Flo 4. Edelbrock

Looks good, Dennis. You're the only car guy I know of that will recoup the cost of the new fuel system by putting lots of miles on it. I bet you'll appreciate not having the elevation issues you had with the carburetor. When's your next trip?

Central Coast. San Simeon, Hearst Castle next weekend. Sea level and cool temps for shakedown. Runs like a different machine. Time will tell. Looking forward to tank capacity and range info. Pump in tank is quiet. New car like, but with Torque.

Anyone here need the trap door from Detroit Speed or the old fuel tank. Tank is 3 years old.

It may be too early to tell but can you better describe "different machine" ? It feels more responsive or less so? Idles smoother?

Smoother. Responsive. Throttle feel a little lighter, but fine. Snaps shut nice. More like a modern car, but retains the Torque. More interested in range, 8000 feet and 100 plus ambient.
Have not fueled yet. Gauge looks to be working good.

I'm using the same throttle cable in black. Are you also using the Mopar throttle return spring that hooks onto the bracket at the front of the intake? Originally I had installed the spring but the accelerator pedal action was way too firm, so I removed it, only using the two springs supplied with the kit. Now it seems sometimes when I back off the accelerator the throttle linkage doesn't completely close, increasing idle about 200 rpm.

Drive report? A little birdy told me you are in love with your car all over again!!!

First start of the day has slightly different barely detectable sound if the battery cut out was used overnight. Booting up? Hard to keep right foot off gas when starting due to tromping habit. Driven less than 50 miles. Blue Tooth tablet says learning mode. No gas odor or other found side effects yet.

Ran fantastic in my opinion. That car is a torque monster.

boot up

be sure to keep some spare 5.25" boot floppies handy

yes, there is a new sequence to efi when transitioning from carb. on my MSD Atomic efi I turn the key and listen to the fuel pump prime for a sec or two, then click over to ON. it fires right up. it rpms approx 900-1000 then comes down to my programmed 800 rpm target. I still let car come up to temp 170-180 before rolling out.

welcome to 1987 Dennis. you have arrived.

Yes, I always let my pump run for a few seconds before cranking. It will start if I just turn the key all the way but it just doesn't "feel right" when I do that.

You could add a push-button start kit and carry a FOB in your pocket. Upgrade those locks to a key-less entry.

Were you in Baywood Park this last weekend for the october fest?
Yes! Great event. Live Band was the best. Was a shakedown run for the efi and meet up with Derwud too. Car ran sweet. 500 miles since install. Freeway, and real world crap stop and go. Flawless to this point.

Cool. Was walking through on my way back to my house and your car caught my eye. If you are in the area again sometime, jingle me up. I'm like a mile away from there. Currently in Vegas for SEMA. Stopped at Baywood Cafe for a cup of joe on the way out and saw you stayed overnight.
