the '64 dodge 330/383/auto had an issue with the park when I got it, it would kinda go into park after a few clunk, clunk, clunks. never sure if it was going to sit or roll away. while doing other work while up on stands thought no time like the present to adjust the park, right? following the procedure outline by a B body post of s few years a back which re enforced what I knew. after the proper adjust- the park lever would not move more than 1/4" toward park? well, I've changed it but did not fix it- time to take the park housing off and see whats what. ohh this is not good, whoever installed it did not know what they were doing and the spring was bent and had no spring pressure, it was also upside down. - here comes the lucky part- searching a small set of drawers fore no known reason I not only found I had but it was NOS.I have no idea where I got it, how longs its been there , it was just there. installed properly the park works mo- better and so does the shifter. finally something went right.
