Have to be better than Richmond gears. I wouldn't recommend them to power a rickshaw. Heard great things about Tom's Gears too. No info on Motive gears.
I have a set of Richmond 3:91's and they whine between 40 and 50 mph. Going to pull them and put 3:55's in. I have heard good things about Motive so we will see. Thanks for the info Plymouth67
I ran a set of Motives in my Dana Made 425 passes on a street gear (1.2× 60ft). Eventually bent the teeth. They were far better than the next set of off brand I used. Only 125 passes. Remember, the setting dimension is only a guide line. The pattern will be the true indicator.

Got my Motive Gears in the mail Monday. I opened the box and to my surprise they were in a Richmond Box LOL. I just hope they don't whine like the 3:91's did. When I pulled the gears out of the car the first thing I looked at was the gear pattern and it was a absolutely perfect pattern.
Strange, Motive, and Richmond of ratios from 3.55-4.56. Gears whine if they are not set up and broken in properly. Ratio has nothing to do with noise and you only get one shot to keep them quiet.
