maybe it's a 383 radiator?
since you are buying parts and it takes $700 and probably more since it is a few parts to recore / restore a radiator......IDK why not just buy a new one for $1200.....since it is not original anyhow.
ohh, and the bottom tank looks like it was ran over a few rock piles it its day.

Thanks much for the information. I offered less money to the guys selling. Maybe they will take my offer . My radiator looked at picture and said if I get parts he would put in new core and guarantee no leaks for $500.00. bob horman

My local go to radiator tech told me that cores for these radiators are difficult to get/expensive as only a few people make them.
Be sure you radiator person has access to the core needed.

Glenn Ray can help with that radiator in fact you would be SUPER happy with the results. In fact I believe they are the ones (maybe ONLY ones) repopping them. With a reasonable core to start with figure $700+. Number correct new is something like $1200.
Check my build thread where I had my 047 radiator restored by them....I was super happy.

I received an answer. He did not accept my offer so I guess I will keep looking for another 2898048 radiator. thanks for all your help and thoughts. bob horman
