Did you get those at the show or somewhere else?
Tim

In the post above the member who gave them to me is listed...a few pages back I posted about that. It was beyond words how nice that gift was to me!

Your welcome my friend!

Thank you for your kind words!

This weekend we went up to see the GTX at the Gilmore museum! The X had a prime spot in the muscle car area and presented beautifully. The tears were flowing a bit. Man it has been a long and amazing journey and this was the icing on the cake....

https://www.gilmorecarmuseum.org

This was my first time to the Gilmore and it won’t be my last even after the GTX comes home. What a beautiful and professional place. It is the largest museum in North America. The manner in which the cars were laid out and presented was impeccable.

The staff were so friendly, helpful, appreciative and knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to chat with the folks there. It really made a museum literally feel like home.....

I would highly recommend any of you guys to take a trip there at least once in your life....it is truly worth it....

Also we ate at an awesome restaurant in downtown Kalamazoo called “Rustica”.......phenomenal to say the least......

Here are some pics of the X and other fine Mopar’s and some of my other favorites.....

Btw the 70 Bee is Gary’s who is a phenomenal Mopar friend to say the least and extremely helpful with the museum experience......thank you Gary. @plowman

Great pictures, but they are all out in the open with no ropes. What's to keep sightseers from putting their paws all over the cars?

They have attendants walking in every area.....I was stopped once I got close to my car and had to show verification....Of course they cannot follow every person but they have "eagle" eyes as you do...What deters people is having the hoods and trunks closed......The ones with the hoods up is at the owners choice.......

They take very good care of the cars and constantly dust them and wax them......

I am not worried a bit......

Maybe the visitors are accompanied by a Host carrying a Taser? :D
While I was getting some things in order for the X. The attendant stayed the whole time and followed me around the car. He even handed me a microfiber rag to rub my paw print, lol......

He was a cool gent and we chatted for awhile about the museum and the cars........It is a whole different world there......You know me and how picky I am....I can sleep well knowing it is in great hands.....

While they hand you a microfiber rag to clean up your "paw prints" . . . LOL . . . glad they're taking great care of that awesome car !
I highly recommend going there.......

The stories behind every car there is an amazing experience.....I can see truly why the X is there after reading every story on the cars there.....The out buildings were closed for the winter. So we got the see about 50% and that took 5 hours......

If you love my story......you will enjoy all the stories there it is amazing...

Sounds like you had a good time Justin. It is truly a amazing place. Just to throw this out there when they open the barns that are outside they do have elevators for the handicapped for the upper levels of two barns. They also have wheel chairs available when you enter the museum. It’s an honor to be able to get your car in there it surely belongs. I played a part in getting about half the cars in that display. I wonder why it is a little Mopar heavy ha ha

The only problem like the Mopar show during the summer is some people from a distance don’t allow enough time. I always suggest come the day before to take in the museum experience and the next day the show that is held outside. They do have electric hookups for primitive camping on grounds but when need to be done in advance.

This is one of my all time fav's...A real deal A990.....

BADAZZ!!!

Not to derail, but add info....the long term owner who pined and planned for the restoration of this A990 is from Detroit. He was a manager in production and scheduling of cars built at Lynch Rd Assembly plant during the muscle car era. He was the steward/caretaker of this car many decades starting in the early 70's. While in storage he began collecting and saving all necessary restoration parts.... After its long term ownership and restoration it was shown at MCACN with a cool story as a Pikes Peak rally car.

Great info Tom...thank you!

The attendant there said they are not allowed to touch or even dust that car!

It is a beautiful restoration....big money spent restoring that car...
